Nicole – lost 17.3kg
I struggled with being overweight for years, and being diagnosed with PCOS which only made weight loss that extra bit harder. I had tried numerous diets and joined the gym but couldn’t keep myself motivated, the gym was not something I enjoyed and was frustrated with seeing no results.
After having two beautiful baby girls both delivered by caesarean section I was left with no core strength at all, I struggled to even pick up and hold my own children let alone do a sit up! I knew that as they got older they were only going to get more active and I wouldn’t be able to keep up with them.
In June 2015 I decided that it was time to make some changes to my lifestyle, it was time to get fit and healthy not just for my family but for myself, I was tired of being tired and having no energy and lacking in self confidence. I started to make better choices with my food intake  no dieting just being careful with my portion size and making wiser choices in what I was eating. Then it was time to start getting fit and more active.
I committed to training and following exercise programs by Paul (Bettalifestyle Outdoor Fitness) starting off with 3 days a week and gradually increasing to 4 -5 days as I started to feel stronger and fitter.
The programs are tough and you definitely feel it working every muscle in your body , it wasn’t always easy as being a mum of 2 babies meant that sometimes I was running on only a couple of hours sleep at night but Paul was very supportive and encouraged and supported me every step of the way.
I started on this journey at 83.2kg Mid June 2015 and within only a few weeks of training I started to notice that my clothes were starting to feel looser  I didn’t need the scales to tell me that I had lost weight I could it feel it and see it. By mid December 2015 I weighed in at just 65kg – I had lost 17.3kg in just 6 months and I done it by working hard, no diets  I still got to eat the foods I love ! And I now have an excuse to shop for a new wardrobe as everything is literally falling off me!
I’m not going to sugar coat it; it doesn’t just happen! You do have to work hard and want it more than anything, you have to stay motivated and keep yourself accountable every step of the way. But once you start seeing the results you won’t have any regrets except for the fact you will wonder what took you so long to do it! I now look forward to my work outs they have become a part of my routine!
